OCT- About the Coalition

The Organic Coalition of Tasmania (OCT) was formed in December 2000.

The aims of the OCT are;
  • To provide a single, united voice to represent the interests and concerns of the Tasmanian Organic Industry,
  • To promote research and development, training and education in Organic Agriculture.

All organic groups operating in Tasmania participate in the OCT. The OCT does not get involved with certification issues as these are more appropriately dealt with by the certification bodies.

See also OCT’s Strategic plan.
